Salon WhatsApp reminders clients answer with a tap

Frizzi sends salon WhatsApp reminders the day before and a few hours before each booking, with Confirm, Reschedule and Cancel buttons, from your salon’s own WhatsApp Business number. Clients with the free Frizzi app get the same messages in the app, at no cost.

  • Day before with buttons, and a few hours before
  • Sent from your own WhatsApp Business number
  • Quiet hours 9 pm–9 am; offers only with consent

Three ways to reach a client

The app first, then WhatsApp, then the desk

Every message tries these in order and goes the first way that reaches the client. Owners choose which are on in Salon settings → Messaging.

3. Desk list, tap to sendAnyone on WhatsAppFreeSwitch on. Reception taps Send and WhatsApp opens on the desk phone

The desk list is never used for time-sensitive messages like “it’s your turn”. Frizzi doesn’t send SMS to clients: SMS is only for sign-in codes.

What goes out

What salon WhatsApp reminders send, and when

Booking confirmed

When a client with a number is booked, with any deposit asked. An app booking waiting for you says so, and they hear again when you accept.

The day before

With Confirm, Reschedule and Cancel. Confirm ticks the booking in your calendar; Reschedule sends a link to move it; a late Cancel waits for the desk.

A few hours before

The usual reminder, sent on time whatever the hour, because it can’t wait. Both reminders are on to begin with, and each goes once.

Receipts and vouchers

The desk taps WhatsApp on a bill, a wallet top-up or a gift voucher, and the receipt text or code goes to the client.

Plus

Your turn, a time is free

For the walk-in queue and the waitlist. Time-sensitive, so they never wait for quiet hours.

Money notices

Money added to the wallet, a due paid or left, a deposit received, a fee charged. The client always knows where their money is.

With Plus

Automatic messages and campaigns

Automatic messages that run themselves

Each one has a switch, words you can change, and a count of how many went in the last 30 days:

  • Birthday and anniversary, on the day or up to 7 days before, at 10:30 am.
  • Next visit due, from each service’s “usually back after” or the client’s own habit.
  • Package, membership or voucher ending, 7 days before. The only one that starts on.
  • Low wallet balance, below ₹200 unless you change it.
  • We miss you, when a client becomes at risk or lost.
  • Thank you, a few hours after the bill, with a private feedback link.

Birthday, anniversary and we-miss-you can carry a one-time coupon only that client can use.

Campaigns to the right clients only

Pick who gets it: a group like VIP or at risk, any of the Clients filters, and branches. Use ready words (Offer, We miss you, Festival) or your own, add a personal coupon, then send now or schedule up to 60 days ahead.

Before you send, Frizzi shows exactly who gets it and how, and who won’t and why. Afterwards, the campaign’s page shows delivery, and which clients came back with a bill within 30 days and what they spent. It is a simple count, not proof the campaign caused it.

  • Only clients with “OK to send offers”
  • Managers send only if the owner allows
  • A scheduled campaign can be cancelled

Using WhatsApp well in a salon

Rules on every message

Reminders clients welcome, not messages they block

Quiet hours, 9 pm to 9 am

Messages that can wait, like the day-before reminder or an offer, go at 9 am instead. Replies to a booking and bills go at once.

Offers only with consent

“OK to send offers” is off until the client says yes. A client who turns off offers in the app gets none from any salon, by any way.

One offer a week, at most

Each client gets at most one offer every 7 days to begin with. Choose 3, 7, 14 or 30 days.

Each message sent once

A retry, a double tap or a job running twice sends nothing more. Moving a booking gives it fresh reminders.

Clients can say no

A client who says no to booking messages gets none. Owners can switch each reminder off for everyone.

A log of every message

Who, what, which way, and whether it was sent, delivered, read or failed, with the reason. Owners and managers see it.

Allowances and packs

Free messages in every plan

Each plan includes free WhatsApp messages from Frizzi’s own WhatsApp number, per open branch per month, for reminders and updates.

Packs never expire and are used after the free messages. Offers through Frizzi’s number need a promotional pack. Messages from your own number are billed to you by Meta and don’t use the allowance; app messages are never counted. You hear at 80% and 100%.

Honest status, November 2026. WhatsApp sending is built and tested in code, but it hasn’t yet sent through a real WhatsApp Business account, and Meta must approve each message template before it can be used. Frizzi’s own WhatsApp number isn’t live yet either, so today automatic WhatsApp needs your salon’s own number. Until then, messages go in the Frizzi client app or on the desk’s tap-to-send list. Ask us and we’ll go through the Meta steps with you.

How it works

Connect your WhatsApp Business number

  1. Set it up in Meta

A Meta Business account, an app with WhatsApp, your number verified and a permanent access token.

  2. Paste four details

Phone number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, access token and app secret. Frizzi checks them with Meta at once.

  3. Copy the templates

Each message has its template ready to copy into Meta, with a copy button. Meta approves them.

  4. Switch on and test

Send Meta’s test message, then switch on each kind of message you want.

FAQ

Questions

Do I need the WhatsApp Business API for automatic reminders?

Yes. Automatic WhatsApp goes from your salon’s own WhatsApp Business number, connected through Meta. Without it, reminders go in the Frizzi client app, and the desk can send others by tapping Send on the tap-to-send list.

Does Frizzi send SMS reminders?

No. SMS is only used for sign-in codes. Reminders go in the Frizzi app or on WhatsApp.

Who pays for the WhatsApp messages?

Messages from your own number are billed by Meta to you, at Meta’s rates, and don’t use your Frizzi allowance. Messages in the Frizzi app are always free. The plan allowances and packs are for messages through Frizzi’s own number, which isn’t live yet.

Can clients confirm or cancel from the reminder?

Yes. The day-before reminder has Confirm, Reschedule and Cancel. Confirm ticks the booking in your calendar, Reschedule sends a link to pick a new time, and a late cancellation waits for the desk to charge or waive any fee.

Will my clients get too many messages?

Frizzi is careful by default: quiet hours from 9 pm to 9 am, offers only to clients who agreed, at most one offer a week, and each message sent once. Clients can turn off booking messages or offers.

Has Frizzi’s WhatsApp been tested?

It is built and tested in code, but not yet with a real WhatsApp Business account or approved Meta templates. We’ll be honest about that until it has been, and help you through the Meta setup.

Which plan has WhatsApp reminders?

Booking confirmations and reminders are in every plan, from ₹99 a branch a month plus GST. Automatic messages like birthdays and we-miss-you, and campaigns, come with Plus.
