Franchise salon software: what we do, and what we don’t
Looking for franchise salon software? If you run an outlet of a salon brand, Frizzi runs your counter, team and stock like any salon. If you are the brand selling franchises, Frizzi has no franchise tools: no royalty, no head-office price locks, no franchisee views. Here is the straight version.
- Good for a franchisee’s own outlet, under its own GSTIN
- Good for a brand’s company-owned branches
- Not built for franchisors managing other people’s outlets
From the reports a franchisee exports
Sample data. Frizzi does not work out royalty.
Which one are you?
Four kinds of franchise salon, four different answers
You own one franchise outlet
Frizzi fits. Your outlet is one salon with one branch: your GSTIN, your invoice series, your UPI, your staff. You send the brand its figures from the reports.
You own several outlets of one brand
Frizzi fits. Your outlets are branches of one Frizzi salon, with one client list and one set of reports, as long as they are one business of yours.
You are the brand, and own your branches
Frizzi fits, as a chain. Company-owned branches share the menu, clients and reports, with a manager per branch.
You are the brand, and sell franchises
Frizzi is not built for this. It can’t work out royalty, lock prices at outlets you don’t own, or show you their sales. Read the questions below before you pick any software.
Straight answers
Franchise salon software needs: what works today and what doesn’t
| What a franchise needs | Frizzi today | How it works, or what to do instead |
|---|---|---|
| GST bills under the outlet’s own GSTIN and series | Yes | Each outlet is its own salon with its own invoice numbers |
| The outlet’s staff, commission and attendance | Yes | Commission % on Basic; payroll and shifts on Pro |
| The outlet’s own stock and suppliers | Yes | Stock levels on Basic; suppliers and orders on Pro |
| Several outlets you own, in one account | Yes | As branches of one salon, with one client list |
| Monthly figures to send the brand | Yes | Export any of the 39 reports to Excel or PDF |
| Royalty or brand fee worked out on sales | — | Work it out from the exported sales report |
| Head office locks prices at outlets it doesn’t own | — | Not built; each salon sets its own menu |
| Head office sees franchisees’ sales live | — | Not built; the outlet sends reports |
| Area-manager views across franchisees | — | Not built |
| One client list across separately owned outlets | — | Each salon’s clients stay its own, by design |
These franchise tools were planned and then dropped. We’d rather tell you now than after you’ve signed up.
For the franchisee
Run your outlet like it’s your own salon, because it is
As a franchisee you carry the rent, the staff and the GST. Frizzi treats your outlet as your business: bills go out under your legal name and GSTIN, the UPI QR pays your bank, and commission rates are seen only by you.
When the brand asks for monthly figures, export the reports it wants (Day-wise summary, Services sold, Monthly GST) to Excel. The reports give you sales before GST and the discounts given, so whatever base your agreement uses, the figures are there. Do the royalty sum once with your accountant and keep it as a sheet.
Before you share a client list with the brand, check what your agreement and India’s data protection law allow. Client export is for owners and managers only.
- Your invoice series, like XY/26-27/00001
- Exports in Excel and PDF
- Download all your data any time, on any plan

Questions to ask any vendor about franchise features
Franchise software is sold on slides. Ask to see each of these working with two outlets owned by different people, not one demo login:
- Royalty. On what is it worked out: sales before GST, after discounts, with or without products and package sales? Can it be different per outlet?
- Prices. Can head office set prices, and can an outlet change them? What happens to a membership sold at the old price?
- Invoices. Does each franchisee bill under its own GSTIN with its own number series? It should.
- Client data. Who owns the client list? What happens to it if a franchisee leaves the brand?
- Prepaid money. Can a client use a package bought at one franchisee’s outlet at another’s? If yes, who settles the money, and how?
- Who pays. Is the fee charged to the brand or to each outlet, and per outlet or per login?
- Leaving. Can a franchisee export everything (bills, clients, staff, stock) in a form another system can read?
Our general checklist for choosing salon software covers the rest: GST, offline billing, WhatsApp costs and lock-in.
A brand with your own branches? You don’t need franchise software. You need one account with many branches, a manager for each, and one menu with branch prices. That is what Frizzi does. See many branches and the price per branch.
How it works
Setting up a franchise outlet
Check your agreement
Some brands require their own software. Make sure you’re free to choose before you start.
Make the outlet a salon
Your legal name, GSTIN and invoice prefix, so the numbering is yours from bill one.
Load the brand’s menu
Type the brand’s price list into the Excel template and import it. Services only; products by hand.
Agree the monthly report
Show the brand the export once. Send the same reports every month.
FAQ
Questions
Does Frizzi have franchise management tools?
No. There is no royalty calculation, no head-office price lock and no franchisee or area view. Frizzi runs salons and their branches. A franchisee can run their own outlet on it, and a brand can run the branches it owns.
I own two outlets of a salon brand. One account or two?
If both outlets are your business under one GSTIN, one salon with two branches, so clients, wallets and reports are shared. If they are separate companies with separate GSTINs, talk to us first.
Can the brand see my outlet’s sales?
Not inside Frizzi. You export the reports the brand asks for, in Excel or PDF, and send them. Only you decide what leaves your salon.
Can I use the brand’s prices?
Yes. You set your menu, so you can type in the brand’s price list. Frizzi won’t stop you changing it, because there is no head-office lock.
What happens to my data if I leave the brand?
It stays yours. Owners can “Download all my data” at any time, on any plan, even when the account is view-only: one ZIP of CSV files with clients, bills, staff, stock and more.
Will you build franchise tools?
They are not on the plan right now, and we won’t promise a date. If they matter to you, tell us what you need.
