Salon membership and package software that brings clients back

Frizzi’s salon membership and package software sells prepaid plans on a normal GST bill, takes the member discount off by itself, counts package sessions down at the till, and still pays your stylists commission on every session. It is part of Plus.

  • Member price comes off by itself, from the bill that sells it
  • Packages of set sessions, or any 3 from a list
  • The till suggests a membership when it pays off today
Memberships in Frizzi: Silver at ₹1,499 with 10% off services and Gold at ₹2,999 with 15% off services and 10% off products, both for 12 months

Membership or package: which one fits?

Both bring money in early and clients back often. They work differently at the till, so most salons end up with one or two of each.

Salon membership and package software, built into the till

Memberships, three ways

A name, a price, how many months, the discount on services and, if you like, on products. That is a membership. Then choose how the discount works:

  • One rate, like 15% on every bill.
  • By bill size, 2 to 5 bands, like 10% on every bill and 15% above ₹2,000. It nudges clients to add a service.
  • Levels, like Silver, Gold and Platinum by what the member spent in the last 12 months, checked every morning.

Renewing early adds the new months after the current end date, so nothing is lost. A client can’t buy the same membership twice.

Packages: set sessions, or any from a list

Set sessions of one or more services, like Haircut × 6, or Hydra facial × 4 for a bride. Or any N from a list: “Pamper trio, any 3 of manicure, pedicure, facial and de-tan”, with one pool of sessions.

A package is sold on a normal bill to a saved client. When they come back, the till shows “Use package · 3 left” on any service it covers. Owners and managers can give a package to another client or extend its last day, with a reason; unused sessions can be refunded.

  • The editor shows its worth at menu prices
  • Cancelling a bill gives its sessions back
  • Packages ending: the client is told 7 days before
Packages in Frizzi: Bridal glow with 4 facials for ₹6,000, Haircut × 6 for ₹2,400, and Pamper trio, any 3 of 4 services, for ₹4,500

The till suggests it, at the right moment

When it is switched on, the till shows one card, the biggest saving, when a membership would pay for itself:

  • Today: today’s member discount is more than the membership’s price. “Gold saves ₹200 today.”
  • At her pace: with 3 or more visits in 12 months, what she spends a month says the membership would pay off. “Gold could save Neha about ₹1,600 over 12 months.”

Never shown to an existing member or a walk-in, so it never nags.

Make it pay

Pricing memberships and packages so they make money

A membership is a bet: the client pays now, and you hope the discount brings them in more often than they would have come anyway. One sum tells you where the line is. Divide the price by the discount. A ₹2,999 membership with 15% off services pays for itself for the client once they spend about ₹20,000 a year on services (₹2,999 ÷ 0.15). Below that, you keep the difference. Above it, the client saves, and you need the extra visits to come out ahead.

So set the price where your good regulars just cross the line. Look at your clients’ spend over 12 months (Frizzi shows it on every profile), find what a typical regular spends, and price so the membership feels like a win for them without giving away your margin on everyone else. Bill-size bands help: a bigger discount above ₹2,000 rewards clients who add a service, not just those who visit.

Packages are simpler. Six haircuts at a menu price of ₹450 are worth ₹2,700; selling them for ₹2,400 is about 11% off, paid upfront, with a reason to come back six times. Keep the validity honest (6 months for 6 haircuts) and the package will be used, which is what keeps the client.

Decide before you sell how stylists are paid on sessions. Frizzi pays commission on each session at the service’s normal price, without GST, because the stylist did the work in full. Read salon memberships that make money, salon packages and commission on packages.

Small rules that stop arguments at the desk

Never two discounts

A member discount, a spend level and an app offer never add up. The till uses whichever single one takes off more, and says so.

Reception can’t remove it

The member price comes off by itself. Owners and managers can remove it from one bill; reception can’t, and can still give their usual discount on top.

A code before prepaid money

Switch it on and a 6-digit code goes to the client before package sessions, wallet, points or a voucher are used. Off to begin with.

Ending soon, said for you

Clients hear 7 days before a package or membership ends (you can change the days). It is the one automatic message that starts on.

Reports that add up

Packages sold, sessions used, packages expiring, memberships sold and expiring, and member discounts given, in Excel or PDF.

Seen by the client

In the free Frizzi app (coming soon), clients see their membership and end date, level, and sessions left with expiry.

How it works

Your first membership, in four steps

  1. Create the plan

Name, price, months, and the discount on services and products.

  2. Choose how it discounts

One rate, by bill size, or levels by 12-month spend.

  3. Let the till suggest it

Switch on suggestions, so the desk sees when it pays off today.

  4. Sell it on a bill

A normal GST invoice. The discount starts on that same bill.

FAQ

Questions

Is GST charged when a membership or package is sold, or when it is used?

When it is sold. A membership or package sale is a normal tax invoice at the services’ rate (5% for salon services). Sessions used later are ₹0 lines with no GST. Gift vouchers and wallet top-ups are the opposite: taxed when spent.

Do stylists earn commission on package sessions?

Yes. A session is ₹0 for the client, but the stylist earns commission on it at the service’s normal price at that branch, without GST. Commission is a simple percentage in every plan; slabs and targets come with Pro payroll.

Can a member discount and an app offer both apply?

No. The till uses whichever takes off more and tells the desk why. The same goes for spend levels. A coupon can be used with a member discount only if the coupon is set up to allow it.

Can a client give their package to someone else?

Yes. Owners and managers can give a package to another client while it can still be used; the sessions left move with it. The move needs a reason and shows on the package.

What if a client wants to cancel a membership?

Memberships aren’t refunded part-way. If one was sold by mistake, cancel the bill that sold it, and the membership and its discount are cancelled together. Unused package sessions, on the other hand, can be refunded.

Which plan do I need?

Memberships and packages are in Plus, ₹799 a branch a month plus GST, and Pro. Every new salon gets 35 days of Pro free, with no card, to try them.
